Mornova ("we", "our", or "the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our application.

Local Data

Your alarms, timers, custom sounds, and user preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.

Location Data

If you enable the Morning Briefing weather feature, we request your location to provide local weather information via Apple's WeatherKit. Location data is not stored or transmitted to our servers.

Calendar & Reminders

If you enable Morning Briefing, we may access your calendar events and reminders to display them in your briefing. This data stays on your device.

Music Services

If you connect Spotify or Apple Music, we store authentication tokens locally to enable playlist playback. We do not access or store your music library data.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the App's core alarm and timer functionality
  • To deliver personalized Morning Briefings with weather, calendar, and news
  • To enable music playback through your connected streaming services
  • To improve and optimize the user experience

3. Data Storage & Security

All your data is stored locally on your device using iOS's secure storage mechanisms. Mornova does not transmit your personal data to external servers. Your alarm sounds, settings, and preferences remain entirely on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to outside parties. The App integrates with Spotify (for music playback), Apple Music, Apple WeatherKit (for weather data), and Apple EventKit (for calendar/reminders). These services are governed by their respective privacy policies.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data stored on your device
  • Delete all your data using the "Delete All Data" option in Settings
  • Revoke permissions for location, calendar, or reminders at any time in iOS Settings
  • Disconnect music services at any time

6. Children's Privacy

Mornova is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, for significant changes, by providing notice through the App.
